Computer kinda question...
My computer apparently did not come with Excel. So, I go to the Evil Microsoft website to see if Ic an download it. Only, there are like a BILLION downloads listed with "excel" in the title, and I don't know which one I need.

Can someone help me?!

::flutters her eyelashes and tries to look pathetic::

Please?

Hey - a free alternative to MS Office is Open Office (openoffice.org) which has an Excel-compatible program. It should do everything you use Excel for. Otherwise I would assume that you would have to buy boxed software to get Excel (maybe they sell online now, I dunno).

Between the Two
It's very hard to switch between the two programs, though. I mean, if you save it in Open Office, the transform back to Excel sometimes screws up the formulas in the cells. We use it at work and it's great unless you want to transfer it back to Excel.

Re: Between the Two
Well, hopefully that won't be a problem for me, since I don't have Excel at all. I just want it to be able to keep track of things like fannish movies and whiceh BPAL scents I've tried...

Did you get 'Quatro' with your software? It's basically the same thing. Or try 'spreadsheet' as a keyword. BTW, you now have me calling the Evil Orange place, the Evil Orange place, since my dad and brother are always going there or Lowes. I'm sure they wonder why I call it that. ;)

Nope, no Quatro that I could fine. Apparently Works comes with a spreadsheet template, but I haven't figured out how to make it work yet.

And as for the Evil Orange Place... it is Evil. And very Orange. ;-)
